The Northwestern University O’Brien Kidney National Resource Center
The Northwestern University O'Brien Kidney Resource Center, in partnership with the University of Southern California, serves as a national resource that advances kidney research through cutting-edge physical science technologies, interdisciplinary expertise, and shared scientific infrastructure. The NU–USC O’Brien Kidney Resource Center harnesses advances in the physical sciences to equip investigators with the tools, reagents, and platforms needed to generate real-time insights into kidney biology and accelerate the development of novel therapies for kidney disease.
The center is supported by the award U54 DK137516 from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, within the National Institutes of Health.

To enable transformative kidney research by integrating physical sciences with innovative technologies, specialized expertise, and collaborative resources to advance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney disease.
What Is nephroHUB?

nephroHUB is the Center’s online collaboration portal, connecting investigators across institutions to share resources, foster collaboration, and accelerate the application of innovative physical science technologies in kidney research.
Originally developed through the NIH P30-funded Northwestern University George M. O’Brien Kidney Resource Core Center (NUGoKidney), nephroHUB continues to serve the NU–USC O’Brien Kidney research community by enabling collaboration and access to shared resources.
