Acknowledgement of NU GoKidney Services & Resources

Please acknowledge / cite our grant if you've used any of our services or resources for your work.

Why do we ask for acknowledgement?

Northwestern’s George M. O’Brien Kidney Center – NU GoKidney – is funded in part by a P30 Centers Program – Research Core Grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Publications are a key metric to demonstrate the efficient use of grant funds and also allows for us to effectively compete for future funding to continue to develop the resources, services, and infrastructure to continue to support investigators and clinicians in kidney disease research.

Who should include an acknowledgement?

We ask the following groups to acknowledge work, resources, and services provided by NU GoKidney to include:

  • Individuals directly funded by pilot and feasibility grants, vouchers, or other similar mechanisms provided by NU GoKidney
  • Individuals who use NU GoKidney resources and services (e.g., Core Services, INVO Kidney Accelerator, transgenic mouse strains, iPSCs) for a research project and any downstream publications directly resulting from the project
